Will You Forgive Me?

Well, first of all, I truly am asking all my blogger fans for their forgiveness, as it has been a long time since I've had a chance to share my thoughts. But apart from my shortcomings, there is something to be said of these four simple words. I have been told "I'm sorry" by a number of people throughout the years, but it still does not have the same effect than that of it's counterpart "Will you forgive me?" I believe it rings true because this phrase demands a heartfelt response whereas the other can be shrugged off without no regard for true forgiveness to actually take place. I also believe that the very nature of forgiveness and our ability to forgive flows downward from a divine God. Although we may never forget a transgression or two, the ability to forgive is represented throughout history and has become a symbol all around the world, known simply to most as .... the cross! So, is forgiveness is important? Absolutely! Is it something that can be exercised in our lives? Yes, on a daily basis, if I'm not mistaken.
